July 12 (Reuters) – Amazon.com Inc (AMZN.O) claimed its online stores had returned to normal providers immediately after a world-wide outage disrupted shopping on its place internet sites.

According to outage monitoring website Downdetector, products and services have been disrupted for just about two hrs and at the peak of the disruption, more than 38,000 user stories indicated difficulties with Amazon’s on the internet merchants. They occurred on Sunday evening in the United States and Monday morning for considerably of the rest of the planet.

“Some buyers may have briefly experienced challenges while purchasing. We have fixed the situation, and anything is now working effortlessly,” an Amazon spokesperson said.

The spokesperson declined to comment on the reason for the outage.
